Paper Tiger is being praised for its raw emotional power, combining genre thrills with intimate character study in a way that feels both personal and universal. Driver's performance as the charismatic but morally compromised Gary anchors the film, while Johansson and Teller bring credibility to the parental roles. The film's 1980s Brooklyn setting is rendered with atmospheric precision, grounding its larger themes of betrayal, ambition, and family loyalty in a richly detailed and specific world.

German automotive specialist Brabus has unveiled the Bodo, a so-called Hyper-GT producing over 1,000 horsepower and priced well above one million dollars. Named after the late Brabus founder Bodo Buschmann, the car represents a landmark moment for a company traditionally known for heavily modifying Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The first example, chassis number one, arrives in a full black specification, with a custom body constructed entirely from carbon fiber wrapped around an aluminum structure, giving it the presence of a luxury supervillain's personal transport.

Powering the Bodo is a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine generating 1,000 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque. Despite a substantial curb weight of 4,211 pounds, the car accelerates from zero to 62 miles per hour in just over three seconds, reaching a top speed of 224 miles per hour. What makes the Bodo particularly notable is that it remains a genuine grand tourer, offering usable rear seats, a proper trunk, and long-distance comfort — a rare combination at this performance level.

The Bodo's visual design draws clear inspiration from the Aston Martin Vanquish, particularly in its window line, though Brabus has dramatically reshaped the car's character. The front end adopts a squarer, more aggressive face, while the rear features a theatrical boat-tail design and an active spoiler. Riding on 21-inch Monoblock wheels, the car recalls dramatic concepts from automotive history, including the 2005 Maybach Excelero. Even the engine's cam covers and airboxes are made from carbon fiber infused with real gold particles.

Inside, the Aston Martin origins remain evident through shared infotainment systems and switchgear, including Apple CarPlay Ultra. Brabus has enhanced the interior with new leather upholstery, carbon fiber trim surrounding the driver display, and extended carbon shift paddles for the eight-speed automatic transmission. A large panoramic roof prevents the all-black interior from feeling oppressive. These additions strike a balance between bespoke luxury and everyday usability that many extreme hypercars fail to achieve.

Production of the Brabus Bodo is limited to just 77 units, a deliberate nod to the company's founding year of 1977. Alongside the previously announced GTS Coupe based on the Mercedes-AMG SL63, the Bodo signals Brabus's evolution from a performance tuner into a full-fledged coachbuilder. Motor1 describes the car as 'completely unnecessary in the best possible way,' capturing the essence of a machine that defies rational justification yet inspires undeniable fascination wherever it appears.
