Sheriff Cordero-Stutz argued that promoting a game built around criminal conduct sends a dangerous message, particularly given that real law enforcement officers work daily to combat the very behaviors the game glorifies. She stated that Grand Theft Auto's fictional world includes murder, carjacking, drug trafficking, and violence against law enforcement — precisely the crimes her department works to prevent.
